What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

  • Roman ruins under glass floors — The hotel showcases historical Roman remains beneath glass in the floors, letting you literally walk over Cordoba's past.
  • Courtyard garden with live music — Breakfast in the courtyard often comes with live music, and the garden is a calm spot to relax in the evening.

  • Helpful, efficient staff — Guests consistently praise the reception team for being friendly, and for going out of their way to assist.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Narrow streets and car access — The hotel is in the old quarter with tight streets; reviews advise leaving the car at the station and taking a taxi rather than driving up.
  • Summer heat on foot — The walk from the old city is short, but in June the heat can be intense for pedestrians.
  • No pets allowed — The hotel policy does not permit pets, which may be a drawback for those travelling with animals.
  • No on-site parking listed — Parking is not mentioned in the hotel's amenities, and reviews suggest using the station car park instead.

“We took the advice from other reviews and left the car at the station, then took a taxi to the hotel. This was a last-minute one-night/two-day trip. Don't try to navigate the narrow streets by car yourself. Reception staff were excellent and couldn't do enough. Our room was perfect – cool, comfortable, and very reasonably priced. The bathroom was amazing because the hotel is very new. As a bonus, Roman remains are showcased under glass floors, easy to view and enjoy. The hotel is about a 7-minute walk from the old city, but in June it's hot, hot, hot! Cordoba is a wonderful city to visit, and I'd happily stay here again.”

8.7Verified guest

“We had a pleasant stay. Rooms were clean and the staff very friendly. The old center and shopping district are within walking distance. We paid just EUR 54 a night, which is very cheap. We'd happily pay EUR 80 and still be satisfied with the price-quality ratio.”

04 — Location

Getting around Cordoba

The property sits in Cordoba.

Old Jewish Quarter: The hotel is right in the old Jewish quarter, with its winding streets, shops, bars, and restaurants. Guests found it easy to explore the area and its atmosphere.

Walk to the Mezquita: The Mezquita is about a 10-minute walk away, and the Roman Temple is closer, roughly 5 minutes. For June heat, plan for short, shaded strolls.

Tapas nearby: A guest pinpointed Taberna Salinas, a guidebook-recommended tapas bar, just around the corner. A good stop for an authentic bite.
